Sometimes We Feel Worn

Sometimes we feel so worn, we cannot grasp the energy to even get out of bed in the morning. Or our circumstances are what make us feel like laying there and doing nothing. If you have ever felt that way, do I have a song to share with you?! I’m going to keep it short because I want you to view the meaning behind the video and then listen to the song with the lyrics! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Let me know what you think!

This Guy Really Kept “…Calling Me, Texting Me”

If you read my previous posts, you are aware of some of the craziness I went through in my marriage. I will not get all the way personal because I have moved on from this dark place in my life. However, the lyrics in this song say it all!

Basically I finally had enough, tried to walk away from my mistakes and tried to get back on the right path. My husband knows everything, also because he’s had his mistakes too. It was a crazy time, and I had to put an end to it!

Thank God for restoration, healing, an understanding husband, and for God giving me the strength to also understand his failings & his side of things. It’s a tough world out there, whether you’re married or single! May God keep you strong and guarded, especially when temptation strikes!

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41

“I Need to Break These Mirrors!”

What amazing stories in this video! So many of us struggle with our own view about ourselves because of what others have said to hurt us. We must know that we cannot please everyone and that the world’s view of beauty is not defined in God’s word and what true beauty really is!

Let this be inspiring to you and help you to remember that when others count you out or label you, God counts you in and can help you be a better person!

**Check out some of his other songs! They’re pretty nice! I’m going to do another post of a personal favorite of mine. It involves temptation! Coming in a few minutes!

Conflict! When Overcome, It Makes You Stronger!

How many times have we fought ourselves in our spirituality, our dreams, our goals, our daily tasks? When we contstantly go against our original feeling, it causes conflict. Second guessing sometimes makes us fall short, fall behind, or become discouraged. It has happened to me as I’m sure it’s happened to you.

So what do we do in these situations? Well, what I do is I ask God for guidance, for His strength to carry me through, and for no distractions to overcome me and keep me from my goals/tasks. It really works. Sometimes we may have to go through tests to really appreciate what we end up with, but that’s the price we have to pay!

Jesus didn’t have to take all of the things He did for us. He could have said “This is too difficult.” and He could have given up. Aren’t you glad he didn’t?! Let’s use that to give us encouragement and the power to do what we can to go on! Tell the world, as the song says, if not in your spoken word, then use your actions, your poems, your songs, your art, your dance, your ability to fix things, your gardening, etc.!

By the way, I’m glad to be able to sit here, write this, and share this post with you today! Keep going and you will accomplish those things and so much more!

There’s Never Enough Time!

“There’s never enought time!”  How many times have you said that in a week, month, year?

Basically, I feel like I have no time at all!  But is that because we choose to make our schedules as hectic as possible for fear of doing NOTHING?  Or do we like to make excuses to keep ourselves from doing what’s really important?  No matter what the reason, we should always TRY to make a little time for ourselves and family.  Sometimes by the end of the week we are exhausted and just want to do nothing which eventually turns out to be everything.  Before we know it, we are saying “Wow, where did the weekend go?”  and then we’re back at our busy schedules.

My family’s solution?  Take at least one night a week (if you have kids) and make it a night about them only.  No adult time, just a time where the kids get to pick a movie or two and you let them go crazy with the candy/snacks, and we have to be kids then too.  Then, if you can, take a night for just you and your significant other.  For us with four children, it’s not always easy to find a babysitter.  What we like to do is let our kids know in advance that once we’ve had Kid’s Night, we have Mommy and Daddy night and we either go out for a fun night or stay in and catch up on new movies, or some of our old favorites.

Look at your schedules and adjust accordingly.  What can wait until the weekend?  What can you move around to make more time for something you have always wanted to do?  You’ll be surprised what friends you’ll be able to catch up with, how many books you read, or what creations you come up with!  I’m ready to readjust to see how much more fun I can get out of this thing we call life!
